Integrative Medicine/Family Practice located in San Antonio, TX

About Mixon

1. What advice do you have for someone who is struggling with their health? Being healthy is a lot of active choices we all make every minute of every day. Be all in for yourself and don't settle for less.

2. Where did you go to school? I received my degree in Respiratory Care at Temple College. I received my

3 nursing degrees at Excelsior College (ADN), St. Edwards University (BSN), and Walden University (MSN) 3. Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why? Honolulu, Hawaii. Loved the weather, Waikiki beach, the people watching, the food.

4. What do you like most about San Antonio? The weather, the people, the food, plenty to do.

5. If you could have a gigantic billboard somewhere with anything on it -metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions - what would it say and why? THINK LIFE! LIVE LIFE! LOVE LIFE! So many of us are just going through the motions of getting through a day which makes it hard to enjoy life, and those we share it with.

6. What advice would you give to a smart, driven person about to start working on their health? What advice should they ignore? Ignore the fads and latest trends. Know who you are and learn what your body needs.

7. What is the best or most worthwhile investment you have ever made? I was a medical professional who was suffering from chronic illness until I decided to invest in myself and my health and find a functional medicine practitioner and kissed the lifestyle of dis-ease good-bye.

8. When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?-- I pray, meditate, EFT tapping, deep breathing exercises.

9. What is your favorite thing to do? I am a portrait artist and I love to paint (watercolor).

10. What is your personal philosophy? Think life, live life, love life.
